Copyright & Takedown Policy
How rights holders can report suspected infringement, how uploaders can respond, and how Veya handles repeat or abusive claims.
Last updated September 14, 2026
1. Respect for intellectual property
Veya expects users to publish only material they created, are licensed to use, or otherwise have a lawful basis to upload. Copyright complaints are reviewed through the platform's reporting and support systems.
This policy describes Veya's platform process. Copyright laws and formal notice requirements differ between jurisdictions, and the operator may request additional information when necessary to comply with applicable law.
2. Submitting a copyright complaint
A copyright owner or authorized representative should submit a clear written complaint through the Veya Help Center or the dedicated copyright-reporting flow when available.
- Identify the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or provide a representative list when multiple works are involved.
- Identify the Veya content claimed to be infringing and provide enough information, such as a story, chapter, profile or content URL, for the material to be located.
- Provide the claimant's name and reliable contact information.
- State that the claimant has a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or applicable law.
- State that the information in the complaint is accurate and that the sender is the copyright owner or is authorized to act for the owner.
- Provide a physical or electronic signature, typed legal name, or equivalent confirmation acceptable under the applicable notice process.
3. Review and temporary action
Veya may ask for clarification before acting on an incomplete notice. When a complaint appears sufficiently detailed and credible, Veya may restrict, unpublish or remove the identified material while the claim is reviewed or while a legally required process runs.
The affected user may be notified of the complaint unless law, safety concerns or a valid legal restriction prevents disclosure.
4. Counter-notices
If content was restricted because of a copyright complaint and the uploader believes the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, the uploader may submit a counter-notice where the applicable process permits one.
- Identify the removed or restricted material and where it appeared before removal.
- Explain why the uploader believes the material was removed by mistake, misidentification, license, ownership, fair use/fair dealing or another lawful basis.
- Provide the uploader's name and reliable contact information.
- Include any statements, consent to jurisdiction, declarations or signature required by the applicable copyright procedure when Veya requests them.
Submitting a counter-notice can have legal consequences. Users should not make statements they know are false and should obtain independent legal advice when unsure about their rights.
5. Restoration and further disputes
Content may be restored when the applicable process permits restoration, when the complainant withdraws the claim, or when Veya determines the notice did not justify continued restriction. Veya may keep content restricted when required by law, court order, provider rules, another valid rights claim or separate platform-policy violations.
Veya does not adjudicate ownership disputes that require a court or other competent authority to resolve.
6. Repeat or serious infringement
Accounts that repeatedly or seriously infringe intellectual-property rights may face publishing restrictions, suspension or termination. Veya may consider the number, credibility and outcome of claims, counter-notices, withdrawals and other relevant context rather than treating every allegation as a confirmed violation.
7. Misuse of the copyright process
Do not knowingly submit false, misleading or retaliatory copyright complaints or counter-notices. Abuse of the reporting process can result in account restrictions and may expose the sender to legal liability under applicable law.
8. Other intellectual-property concerns
Trademark, impersonation, privacy, publicity and other rights issues are not always copyright claims. Report those concerns through the Help Center and identify the right involved, the disputed material and the reason you believe action is required.
